Description
Workshop for kids & teens ages 10 and up
with Alexandra Syrbe
In our indoor weather project, kids explore the indoor
climate in a hands-on way and with many experiments
that help learn about proper ventilation and heating
in a fun way.
Rain, sun and the occasional thunderstorm - most
people know their way around weather. But what
about indoor weather phenomena?
A fascinating topic that will be investigated in this
workshop, working as a team and with a lot of
equipment to measure room temperature, humidity,
surface temperature, and CO2 content.Quite
incidentally, the kids learn what this has to do with
the formation of moulds, and their interest in the
natural sciences is sparked.
The Indoor Climate Project was developed by the
Northern German Regional Association for the
Environment, and has won multiple awards.
Alexandra Syrbe, lecturer at KLiBA gGmbH
( Klimaschutz und Energie-Beratungsagentur
Heidelberg; Climate Prote and Energy Consulting
Agency Heidelberg) implements this project. She is
a chemical technician who examined indoor
pollutants for TÜV SÜD for 20 years and has been a
lecturer at Schloss Elmau with other formats for more
than 10 years.
