The Science Lab educational institution
is visiting Schloss Elmau again, offering
a research program for preschool- and
elementary school-age children.
The children are called on to join the
science lab instructors in exploring
exciting phenomena of nature,
technology and the environment.
Discovering and understanding the world
with all their senses is our children’s
recipe for success. They notice things
that have become humdrum for adults:
raindrops hanging on branches, a
compass showing the direction,
lightning splitting the sky, followed by
thunder. Because children want to
understand all this, they often bombard
us with questions.
In the Science Lab experimentation
courses, experienced science lab
instructors are ready to be bombarded.
They then help the kids postulate
hypotheses, which the young researchers
then independently check using simple
but ingenious experiments.
